Miss Runner: Did you grow up wanting to be a yoga teacher?
Kayla Ann:My passion for yoga began in my house! I had previously tried yoga before and wasn't a fan. A year later I came across a few yogis on Instagram and was so inspired to try again, I popped in a Power Yoga DVD and fell in love. I had found the type of yoga that intrigued me, challenged me, and sparked a passion in me!
MR: What will the path of being an aspiring yoga teacher look like for you?
KA: I will continue to teach in the local studio, sharing my passion for yoga with my students and take on every opportunity that comes my way! The more people I can share my passion with, the more I can inspire to find their own.
MR: What are some yoga moves you could recommend to give you a bunch of energy for the day?
KA: Ooo, good question! Tree Pose, it connects you, energizes you, and helps you find your balance! Upward Facing Dog, opens the heart and lets love in! Goddess Pose, strengthens and fills you with energy.
MR: Besides yoga, is there any other forms of fitness you would like to try?
KA: I actually do crossfit and HIIT workouts on a regular basis and I love it. The strength I build really compliments my practice!
MR: If you were an animal, what would you be?
KA: I would be a dog. Loyal with a strong personality, active, and loves to have fun!
